Thiruvananthapuram: Despite taking a commanding lead in the ongoing five-match women’s T20 International series against Sri Lanka, the Indian team remains focused on continuous improvement, head coach Amol Muzumdar said ahead of the third match.
India have looked dominant so far, winning the opening two matches convincingly through strong batting performances and disciplined bowling. However, Muzumdar made it clear that results alone are not the priority, stressing the need to sharpen skills across batting, bowling, fielding and fitness.
“We want to be a progressive side. There is always room for improvement, irrespective of wins,” Muzumdar said, adding that the team is keen on refining all aspects of the game as part of its long-term vision.
Series Situation
India currently lead the series 2–0 and will look to seal the contest early when they take the field for the third T20I. Sri Lanka, meanwhile, will be desperate to stay alive in the series after being outplayed in both matches so far.
