Rohit Sharma is set to complete a mega milestone for Team India. The Hitman will be appearing in his 500th international match during India’s first ODI against Australia on Sunday, October 19, in Perth. Rohit, who has been an all-time ODI legend, will be keen to make things special. The veteran batter has already retired from the other two formats. He retired from T20Is after India’s T20 World Cup win in 2024. Earlier this year, he bif adieu to Test cricket. Rohit will only play ODIs now and it remains to be seen whether he remains in the fray for the 2027 World Cup.
Recently, Rohit’s ODI captaincy reign came to an end. Shubman Gill took over Rohit as India’s ODI skipper. Now free from captaincy duties, Rohit will be aiming to gain a stronghold and play his natural game.

In ODI cricket, Rohit is India’s 4th-highest run-scorer. In 273 matches, he has hit 11168 runs at 48.76. He owns 32 tons and 58 fifties. Rohit is closing in on Sourav Ganguly’s tally of 11221 runs at 40.95.
