Dubai’s iconic Meydan Racecourse is set to come alive with holiday cheer as the Dubai Racing Carnival hosts its Festive Friday feature evening — the first of three major themed race meetings this season. Known for blending thrilling sport with vibrant social experiences, the event will transform Meydan into a winter-themed spectacle with decorative Christmas trees and festive décor welcoming visitors as the sun sets.
Horse racing remains at the heart of the evening, but the experience goes well beyond the track. Live performers including saxophonists, a jazz trio and a marching band will keep the atmosphere lively, while festive characters such as Santa Claus, dancing elves and gingerbread performers add family-friendly entertainment.
Food and drink options will feature a holiday twist across the venue. From seasonal menus at general eateries to high-end experiences like a five-hour premium dinner at The MAINE and a lively Finish Line Brunch, guests can choose from a range of offerings to suit different tastes and budgets.
According to Dubai Racing Club CEO Ali Al Ali, the goal is to deliver a festive and fun atmosphere that highlights both entertainment and the sport’s deep roots in the UAE.
The Carnival season, which kicked off in early November and runs through to the Dubai World Cup in March, celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, with Festive Friday setting the tone for a memorable winter of racing, spectacle and celebration.
