India enjoyed a stellar day at the ISSF Junior World Cup as its shooters dominated the 10m air rifle women’s event with a podium sweep, while Himanshu also added to the medal tally with a gold in another event.
Ojasvi Leads All-India Podium
Ojasvi Thakur produced a composed performance to claim gold, scoring 252.7 in the final at the Karni Singh Shooting Range. Her two perfect 10.9s on the 8th and 16th shots sealed her victory.
Hrudya Shri Kondur secured silver with 250.2, while qualification leader Shambhavi Kshirsagar settled for bronze after finishing with 229.4.
Dominance in Qualification
The Indian trio had already stamped its authority in the qualification round, taking the top three spots. Shambhavi topped with 632.0, followed closely by Ojasvi (631.9) and Hrudya (629.8).
More Gold for India
In addition to the clean sweep, India’s Himanshu clinched gold in his event, further underlining the host nation’s dominance at the Junior World Cup.
