New Delhi: Formula One has officially outlined its 2026 season timeline, detailing car launches, pre-season testing and a full 24-race calendar, marking the beginning of a new era under sweeping technical regulations. According to a report by The Times of India, the season promises major changes both on and off the track.
The build-up begins in January, when teams will start unveiling their 2026 challengers. Red Bull is expected to be among the first to reveal its car, while other teams will follow through late January and early February, offering fans their first glimpse of machines built for the sport’s next generation.
Pre-season testing will play a crucial role in shaping early form. Teams are scheduled to run their cars initially in Barcelona, before moving to Bahrain for two official test sessions. These outings will be vital as teams adapt to new power units, revised aerodynamics and sustainability-focused regulations.
The racing season itself will feature 24 Grands Prix, beginning in Australia and concluding in Abu Dhabi. Traditional venues such as Silverstone, Monza and Spa-Francorchamps remain on the calendar, while newer destinations continue to strengthen Formula One’s global footprint. (Source – Times of India)
