Seventeen-year-old rising star Manoj S produced a superb five-under 67 in Round 3 of the Trident Open 2025 at the Chandigarh Golf Club to storm into the outright lead. With rounds of 69, 71 and 67, the Bengaluru teenager climbed to a nine-under total of 207, giving him a one-shot edge heading into the final day. At just 17 years and seven months, he now stands on the brink of becoming the youngest winner on the PGTI circuit.
Manoj’s charge came on the back of impressive ball-striking and clutch putting. He drained multiple 10-foot birdie putts, converted a brilliant 25-footer on the 18th, and almost aced the par-3 14th when his tee shot struck the flagstick. His consistency across both the front and back nine reflected a maturity well beyond his age.
Former PGTI Order of Merit champion Manu Gandas sits close behind at eight-under 208 after a steady 69, while a pack of five golfers trail a further three shots back at five-under 211.
Manoj credited his recent form and confidence for the strong run, saying he plans to approach the final round with the same calm mindset that has powered his rise so far.
