Chase To Lead As Warrican Named Deputy
Cricket West Indies (CWI) has confirmed a 15-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against India, the team’s first away assignment in the new ICC World Test Championship cycle. Roston Chase will captain the side, while left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican has been appointed vice-captain.
Fresh Faces And Key Returns
The squad welcomes the return of opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul and middle-order batter Alick Athanaze, both expected to strengthen the batting unit. Khary Pierre, the left-arm spinner, has earned a maiden Test call-up following consistent domestic performances, signaling CWI’s intent to adapt to spin-friendly Indian conditions.
