Hockey fans in Bihar are set for a special treat as Hockey India has announced that entry for the Hero Men’s Asia Cup 2025, scheduled from August 29 to September 7 at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium, will be completely free of cost.

Hockey India President Dr. Dilip Tirkey called the event a milestone for Indian hockey.
“By opening the gates for free, we want students, families, and every sports lover to enjoy world-class hockey in Rajgir. This isn’t just a competition, it’s a celebration of the sport,” he said.
Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh added that the initiative reflects Hockey India’s focus on grassroots promotion and will help boost the popularity of hockey in the region.
Stakes High With World Cup Spots at Play
Eight top Asian teams – India, Japan, China, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Korea, Bangladesh, and Chinese Taipei – will compete for continental supremacy. Importantly, the tournament also serves as a qualifier for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup, making every match crucial.
India has been placed in Pool A alongside Japan, China, and Kazakhstan. Their group-stage fixtures are:
India vs China – August 29
India vs Japan – August 31
India vs Kazakhstan – September 1
