MIAMI: Czech star Karolina Muchova reached her first semi-final at the Miami Open on March 24, 2026, defeating Canada’s Victoria Mboko in a hard-fought quarter-final.
The No.13 seed saved a set point in the second set before prevailing 7-5, 7-6(5) in one hour and 47 minutes. It marked Muchova’s second straight-sets win over Mboko this year and her ninth career semi-final at WTA 1000 level or higher.
Muchova, a former Roland Garros finalist, has enjoyed a strong start to 2026 and will now face one of the remaining quarter-final winners in the last four at Hard Rock Stadium. The match highlighted her tactical edge and resilience under pressure on the Miami hard courts.
