LONDON: Arsenal Women secured a strong advantage in the all-London UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final with a 3-1 victory over Chelsea at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Stina Blackstenius opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with her first Champions League goal since last season’s final. Chloe Kelly doubled the lead in the 32nd minute with a clinical finish, giving Arsenal a commanding 2-0 halftime advantage.
Lauren James pulled one back for Chelsea in the second half with a stunning curled long-range effort into the top corner. However, Alessia Russo restored the two-goal cushion for Arsenal in the 76th minute, driving home from the edge of the box.
Chelsea hit the post twice and had two goals disallowed during the match, but Arsenal held firm to take a 3-1 lead into the second leg on April 1 at Stamford Bridge. The result keeps Arsenal on track in their bid for back-to-back European titles.
