Hannah Green continued her stunning run of form by winning the Australian WPGA Championship, becoming the first Australian woman to claim three consecutive international titles.
The world number seven carded a composed final-round 69 to finish at 16 under par at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, sealing a comfortable four-shot victory.
Dominant run continues in Australia
Green entered the tournament on the back of wins at the Australian Open and the Women’s World Championship Singapore, and never looked in serious trouble as she completed a remarkable hat-trick.
Starting the final round with a two-shot lead, the 29-year-old maintained control throughout, eventually finishing ahead of Alexandra Forsterling and Casandra Alexander, who shared second place at 12 under.
“It feels really amazing – it’s been a really crazy month,” Green said after the win, celebrating a memorable stretch on home soil.
Strong support and consistent performance
Green’s success has also been aided by her husband Jarryd Felton, who stepped in as her caddie for all three victories while her regular caddie remains in the United States.
The partnership has clearly paid off, with Green showing consistency and composure across all rounds.
Solid showing from European contenders
England’s Meghan MacLaren finished fourth at 10 under after a steady final round, while Finland’s Noora Komulainen and New Zealand’s Amelia Garvey were among those inside the top six.
With this victory, Green heads into the upcoming LPGA event in Las Vegas as one of the form players on the circuit, with momentum firmly on her side.
