Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes has made it clear that his ambition remains to win more trophies with the Red Devils, insisting the current squad has the right spirit and drive to return to glory days. Fernandes, who joined United in January 2020, reflected on his tenure at the club and acknowledged that while the number of trophies hasn’t matched his expectations, his commitment to the cause remains unwavering.
In a recent interview, the Portuguese midfielder explained that loyalty played a big part in his decision to stay at Old Trafford, even when he had chances to leave. He said that while he could have pursued paths that might have added more silverware to his cabinet, he chose to remain because he believes the club still aims to be a top contender and win major honours.
Fernandes also highlighted the positive energy in the current squad, praising the mix of youth and experience and the inclusive atmosphere within the dressing room. He feels that this blend helps foster greater unity and resilience, both on and off the pitch.
Since arriving at United, Fernandes has helped the club secure the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, and has been a central figure through several managerial changes. Yet it’s the collective hunger and belief in the squad that he sees as key to lifting further trophies in the seasons ahead.
