Singapore’s men’s foil team continued their dominant run at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand, capturing the gold medal with a convincing 45-20 victory over Malaysia in the team final.
The quartet of Jonathan Lim, Samuel Robson, Julian Soh and Raphael Tan showcased tactical precision and teamwork to secure Singapore’s fifth fencing gold at the Games. This result marks a significant improvement from the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia, where the men’s foil squad settled for silver.
Alongside this achievement, Singapore’s women’s teams have also delivered strong performances, including a silver in women’s sabre, while further medal opportunities remain as the competition unfolds.
