Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s warm gesture toward injured Indian women’s cricket player Pratika Rawal has gone viral, drawing widespread praise on social media. During a felicitation event for the World Cup–winning Indian women’s team at his residence in New Delhi, the Prime Minister noticed Rawal seated in a wheelchair and personally served her food, ensuring she was comfortable and included in the celebration.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur recalled meeting the Prime Minister in 2017 after a tough tournament and said that returning with a trophy this time made the moment even more meaningful.
