Jamshedpur FC are already eliminated from semi-final contention in Group B, but they will be keen to finish the group stage on a high note when they face Inter Kashi.
In their last outing, Jamshedpur came from 0-2 down against NorthEast United FC to earn a 2-2 draw — a sign of resilience and a positive way to build into the final match.
Inter Kashi had previously been beaten 0-3 by FC Goa, but have shown enough fight to suggest Jamshedpur cannot take the fixture lightly.
So even though the “Men of Steel” (Jamshedpur’s nickname) have no path to the knockouts, the match offers them a chance for pride, to wind up the group stage strongly.
FC Goa: Already In, but Still Hungry
FC Goa are the first team in Group B to secure a place in the semi-finals, courtesy of wins against Jamshedpur FC and Inter Kashi.
Now they face NorthEast United FC in their final group match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda (Fatorda) on Saturday, kicking off at 7:30 PM IST.
Even though the group qualification is done, FC Goa’s objective is still clear: finish the group stage in style, maintain momentum, and ensure they carry the right rhythm into the knockout rounds and whatever lies ahead – especially with a busy schedule coming up.
For NorthEast United FC, the match is a platform to end the campaign on a high and test their squad, especially as rotation is expected given their upcoming continental commitments.
