New Delhi, October 31: In a pulsating finale that kept fans on the edge of their seats, Dabang Delhi K.C. defeated Puneri Paltan 31–28 at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium on Friday to lift the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 title. This marks Delhi’s second championship, following their maiden triumph in the 2021–22 season.
Powered by the brilliance of Neeraj Narwal and Ajinkya Pawar, Delhi delivered a composed and clinical performance to silence a spirited Puneri challenge. Narwal was the standout performer with nine raid points, while Pawar added six points, ensuring the capital side held firm under pressure in front of a packed and electric crowd.
For Puneri Paltan, Aditya Shinde was the lone warrior, notching 10 points, but his effort fell just short of turning the game around.
Delhi dominated the opening half, racing to a 20–14 lead at the break. Narwal’s flawless streak of successful raids set the tempo early, compensating for skipper Ashu Malik, who appeared to be carrying a slight injury and wasn’t at his best.
The second half, however, saw Puneri Paltan mount a strong comeback. The Pune side outscored Delhi 8–3 in raid points, narrowing the deficit and setting up a tense finish. As the clock wound down, nerves began to show, but Delhi’s experienced defender Fazel Atrachali came to the rescue, tackling Shinde in the final 30 seconds — a decisive move that sealed Delhi’s victory.
With this win, Dabang Delhi reaffirmed its status as one of the league’s most consistent and resilient teams, blending youth, experience, and tactical mastery to reclaim kabaddi’s biggest crown.
