Bhubaneswar: In a commanding performance at the 5th Hockey India Senior Women Inter-Department National Championship 2025, the Railways Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) secured the title with a decisive 5-1 win over Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) at New Delhi’s Shivaji Stadium.
Navneet Kaur was the standout player, netting a remarkable hat-trick with goals at the 9th, 21st, and 54th minutes. Salima Tete (39′) and Sangita Kumari (52′) added to the scoreline, while IOCL’s Jyoti (60′) managed a late consolation goal.
In the bronze medal match, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) triumphed over the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) with a 4-1 victory. Varitka Rawat scored twice (16′, 46′), while Aishwarya Chavan (39′) and Prini Kandir (41′) contributed one goal each. CBDT’s sole goal came from Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke (44′).
Earlier in the semifinals, RSPB defeated SAI 3-1, with goals from Lalremsiami (7′), Navneet Kaur (39′), and Vandana Katariya (50′). IOCL secured their final spot with an 8-0 win over CBDT.
This victory marks a significant achievement for RSPB in the national women’s hockey arena.
