Ningbo, China: Meghana Sajjanar won her maiden individual World Cup medal with a bronze in the women’s 10m air rifle at the ISSF World Cup 2025 in Ningbo. Meghana scored 230.0 in the final after qualifying seventh with 632.6. Despite a slow start, she steadily climbed the leaderboard to secure the podium spot.
China’s Peng Xinlu set a new world record with 255.3 to claim gold, while Norway’s Jeanette Hegg Duestad took silver with 252.6. Earlier, India’s Esha Singh had won gold in the 10m air pistol event, helping India finish fifth overall in the season-ending meet.
In other events, Kiran Ankush Jadhav qualified fourth in men’s 50m rifle 3 positions with 590 but finished eighth in the final. Paris 2024 bronze medallist Swapnil Kusale missed the final with a 21st place finish (587).
Meghana’s bronze marked a high point as India concluded the ISSF World Cup with two medals, showcasing growing depth in Indian shooting.
