ABU DHABI, UAE — The seventh edition of the AJP Tour Asia Continental Jiu-Jitsu Championship is set to take place from September 5 to 7 at Mubadala Arena, the Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu Pro (AJP) has announced. The championship is a key event on the global jiu-jitsu calendar and is expected to draw top athletes from around the world.
A Championship of Champions
The three-day tournament reinforces Abu Dhabi’s status as the world capital of jiu-jitsu and a leading destination for major sporting events. With high professional standards, the championship offers participants 1,400 exclusive ranking points, a significant boost for their standings. Organizers expect more than 2,000 athletes from various nationalities to compete across professional, masters, youth, and junior divisions.
Zayd Eagleton, Operations Manager at International Vision Sports Management, highlighted the event’s importance, stating it “reflects Abu Dhabi’s pioneering role in developing this sport and enhancing its presence on the global stage.” He added that the championship provides a crucial opportunity for athletes to gain experience and improve their rankings, helping to prepare future champions for the world’s biggest tournaments.
