DUBAI, UAE — The “LEVEL UP” Sports Tech Innovation Expo is set to launch in Dubai in late 2025, an event dedicated to showcasing next-generation technologies across a multitude of sports. The expo, a partnership between Global MICE Organisation Limited (GMOLx) and the Dubai Sports Council (DSC), will run from November 27 to 29 at Dubai Harbour.

A Gateway to a Booming Sports Economy

The decision to host the event in Dubai positions it as a strategic gateway to the rapidly expanding sports economy of the GCC region. According to an announcement from the event’s organizers, the Middle East and Africa sports tech market is projected to reach an impressive $3.3 billion by 2030. This growth is fueled by significant investment and a rise in major international sporting events. Dubai is at the forefront of this trend, with its sports industry already contributing approximately $2.5 billion annually to its economy.

Showcasing the Future of Sports and Innovation

LEVEL UP is designed to be a comprehensive showcase of transformative technologies. The event will bring together over 10,000 global attendees, including athletes, investors, startups, and media, to explore innovations that are enhancing athlete performance and revolutionizing fan engagement. Attendees will have a first-hand look at the latest advancements in:

  • Performance-enhancing wearables
  • AI-driven analytics
  • Stadium security technologies
  • Esports and gaming
  • Media broadcasting solutions

The expo will also spotlight technological evolution in major sports such as football, Formula 1, and cricket, alongside emerging developments in areas like extreme sports and horse racing, cementing Dubai’s role as a global stage for sporting excellence.

Officials Emphasize Collaboration and Growth

In statements reported by the Government of Dubai Media Office, officials highlighted the event’s importance for the industry.

“Dubai is committed to hosting world-class sporting events… Launching LEVEL UP will provide an international platform that fosters a collaborative ecosystem to drive innovation, accelerate industry growth, and connect the full spectrum of the sports tech community,” said Eisa Sharif, Director of the Sport Events Department at the Dubai Sports Council.

Echoing this sentiment, Namir Hourani, Managing Director of GMOLx, stated that LEVEL UP is “designed to engage everyone – from curious young minds and sports enthusiasts to corporate leaders and global innovators,” promising an “electrifying and engaging atmosphere for all.”

The three-day expo will also feature strategic panel discussions, live demonstrations, and an awards ceremony celebrating influential sports tech startups. In a push for community engagement, it will host side events, including sports competitions in padel, street football, and basketball.
