Bhubaneswar : Bhopal athletes kicked off the 15th PSAMP Para Athletics Championship 2025 with an impressive haul of gold medals on Day One at Tatya Tope Stadium. Prakriti Gupta claimed the top spot in the women’s 100m (T-12) with a time of 21.62 seconds, while Alice sprinted to victory in the women’s 100m (T-13), clocking 25.83 seconds.
Other standout performances included Raja Chandravanshi’s gold in men’s 100m (T-11) at 19.48 seconds and Rajaram Kurmi’s win in men’s 100m (T-12) with 16.73 seconds. Komal Tyagi of Morena took the women’s 100m (T-11) gold with 16.37 seconds, highlighting the strong representation from Madhya Pradesh districts.
The championship inauguration featured a vibrant ceremony with lamp lighting, school children’s march-past, and cultural dances, setting a lively tone for the competition running through August 26. The event showcases the determination and prowess of para-athletes from across the state in this annual key sporting event.
