The 16th Asian Shooting Championship took place from August 16 to 30, 2025, at Shymkent Shooting Plaza in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. This prestigious event brought together the continent’s best shooters competing across rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines.
Among the standout performances was 17-year-old Indian shooter Girish Gupta, who clinched the gold medal in the men’s youth 10m air pistol event with a final score of 241.3. He outdistanced his compatriot Dev Pratap, aged 14, who took the silver with a score of 238.6. This remarkable feat highlighted India’s rising talent in the shooting arena.
