London, UK – The highly anticipated rematch between British boxing rivals Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn has been officially scheduled for November 15 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Organizers confirmed the date on Saturday, setting the stage for another chapter in one of boxing’s most storied family feuds.
A Rematch For “Unfinished Business”
The upcoming bout will be a non-title middleweight clash, following their first encounter at the same North London venue in April of last year. In that 12-round contest, Chris Eubank Jr emerged victorious via a unanimous 116-112 points decision against Conor Benn, who suffered his first professional defeat. The fight was a dramatic, competitive, and physical encounter that went the distance, with Eubank Jr. eventually asserting control through sharp jabs and precise power punches despite Benn’s aggressive start.
This modern-day rivalry directly echoes the iconic clashes between their fathers, Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn, who captivated the boxing world 35 years ago. The elder Eubank won their first fight by TKO in 1990, while their 1993 rematch ended in a draw, leaving an “unfinished business” narrative that their sons now carry.
Saudi Backing for High-Stakes Bout
The rematch deal, reportedly finalized earlier this week, will be sponsored by Ring Magazine and Riyadh Season, underscoring the growing influence of Saudi Arabian investment in global boxing. Ring Magazine, owned by Turki Alalshikh (who chairs Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority), and Sela, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), will serve as the lead promoter. Ring Magazine also reported that the weight terms for the rematch are expected to remain the same as the first bout (a catchweight slightly above welterweight).
The rematch was initially penciled in for September 20, but Eubank Jr. had stated he would not be ready by that earlier date, leading to the November rescheduling. Boxing fans worldwide will now eagerly await this high-stakes showdown, which promises to be as compelling as their first encounter and add another memorable chapter to the Eubank-Benn legacy.
