Bhubaneswar : India has been officially confirmed as the host for two major International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) events: the ISSF World Cup in 2027 and the ISSF Junior World Championships in 2028. Both events will be held in New Delhi, with competitions covering all three disciplines—rifle, pistol, and shotgun. The exact dates for these events are yet to be finalized.
This announcement, made by the ISSF and the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), marks a significant boost for Indian shooting sports, providing athletes with consistent exposure to elite global competition ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Hosting these events further cements India’s reputation as a trusted venue for major international shooting competitions.
Additionally, New Delhi will also host the ISSF Junior World Cup in September 2025 and the Asian Rifle/Pistol Cup in February 2026, making it a key stop on the global shooting calendar in the lead-up to the Olympics
