India’s para-badminton team just had their best-ever performance at the Asian Para-Badminton Championship 2025 in Thailand, bringing home an incredible 27 medals!
A Historic Haul
The tournament, held at the SPADT Convention Center from June 17 to 22, saw Indian shuttlers secure four gold medals, 10 silver medals, and 13 bronze medals. This massive haul truly highlights the growing strength of India in para-badminton.

Among the impressive list of medallists were some familiar names who are set to shine at the upcoming Paris Paralympics. Nitesh Kumar, a gold medallist at the Paris Paralympics, along with silver medallist Thulasimathi Murugesan and bronze medallist Manisha Ramadass, all contributed to India’s record-breaking performance.
