Mumbai:;The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced that the India men’s national cricket team will tour Ireland in June for a two-match T20 International series, marking their first assignment after winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this month.
The Men in Blue, led by Suryakumar Yadav, lifted the title after a commanding 96-run victory over New Zealand in Ahmedabad on March 8. The Ireland tour will serve as their return to international action following that triumph.
India will travel to Belfast for the series, marking their first visit to the city since 2007. Although India have toured Ireland three times in recent years — 2018, 2022 and 2023 — those matches were held in different venues. Notably, India’s only previous international fixture in Belfast came in a rain-affected ODI in 2007, which they won convincingly.
The two T20Is will be played at the historic Stormont Cricket Ground, with both matches scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm local time (7:30 pm IST).
India vs Ireland – Full Schedule
1st T20I: June 26 – India vs Ireland – Belfast
2nd T20I: June 28 – India vs Ireland – Belfast
India hold a strong record in Ireland, having won six of their seven T20Is there, with one match abandoned due to rain. The upcoming series will also be part of a packed 2026 season for Ireland, which includes a one-off Test against New Zealand and five ODIs against Afghanistan.
The tour is expected to provide India an early opportunity to build momentum after their World Cup success, while Ireland will look to challenge the reigning champions on home soil.
