Barcelona defeated arch-rivals Real Madrid 3-2 in a dramatic Spanish Super Cup final to secure the trophy for a second consecutive year and claim their first title of the season.Brazilian winger Raphinha was the hero, scoring twice, including the decisive goal in the 73rd minute.
Robert Lewandowski also found the net for Barcelona, while Vinícius Júnior and Gonzalo García scored for Real Madrid.
The first half delivered high drama as Raphinha opened the scoring before Vinícius equalised with a brilliant solo effort. Lewandowski restored Barcelona’s lead, but Madrid responded again just before halftime through García to leave the match level at 2-2.
Real Madrid pushed hard in the second half and introduced Kylian Mbappé, but Barcelona controlled possession and created the clearer chances. Raphinha’s second goal proved decisive as Madrid failed to convert late opportunities to force extra time.
The victory continues Barcelona’s recent dominance in El Clásico finals under coach Hansi Flick and provides a strong start to their 2025–26 campaign.
