The 2025 edition of the Hong Kong Sixes will be staged at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground from November 7 to 9, organisers confirmed on Tuesday.
The event will see 12 international teams, including India, Australia, Pakistan and hosts Hong Kong, battle it out in the iconic six-a-side format. Former India stars Ravichandran Ashwin and Dinesh Karthik are among the big names set to feature.
A legacy event back in action

This year’s edition will have 29 matches across three days, played in pools before progressing to Cup, Plate and Bowl knockout rounds. Each game will feature six overs per side with teams of six players, a format designed to guarantee quick, entertaining finishes.

Wider community focus
Alongside the cricket, the organisers have planned a Community Fan Park and the Jockey Club Hong Kong Cricket Sixes Community Programme, including masterclasses, sports and cultural booths, and mini-cricket sessions. Complimentary tickets will be offered to underprivileged groups and people with disabilities to ensure inclusive participation.
With Sony Sports on board as broadcast partners, the Sixes are expected to reach record global audiences while also showcasing Hong Kong as a hub for international sports.
