Bhubaneswar: Formula 3 is shaking up the feeder series with a €1 million prize fund starting in 2025, aimed at supporting the top five drivers as they step up to Formula 2.
The prize money is awarded only if the driver moves to F2 the next season, making every top-five position critically important financially.
The prize breakdown:
1st place: €300,000
2nd place: €250,000
3rd place: €200,000
4th place: €150,000
5th place: €100,000
If a top-five driver doesn’t advance to F2, the prize reverts to the next eligible driver, ensuring maximum support for career progression. This fund is a game-changer, providing crucial financial backing in the expensive climb towards Formula 1, alongside the existing €300,000 Pirelli prize for the F3 champion. The first beneficiaries include 2025 champion Rafael Camara and his closest rivals, bolstering their F2 ambitions with substantial funding and injecting fierce competition into the championship’s final battles .
