Bangladesh cricket team pacer Taskin Ahmed etched his name in T20I history books. The right-arm pacer became the 3rd Bangladesh bowler to reach 100 T20I wickets. He achieved the milestone in the Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s match against Pakistan in Dubai.
Taskin picked up figures worth 3/28 from his 4 overs as Bangladesh restricted Pakistan to 135/8 in 20 overs. He joined the likes of Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman to complete 100 T20I wickets for Bangladesh.
A defiant spell in Bangladesh’s loss to Pakistan
Taskin ended up hurting Pakistan early on in the 1st over itself. After being hit for a four by Sahibzada Farhan off the 3rd ball, he dismissed the Pakistani opener right thereafter. The 1st over bowled by Taskin saw him concede 4 runs and claim a wicket. His 2nd over saw him bowl 5 dot balls (1 four). The right-arm pacer came back in the 14th over and dismissed southpaw Shaheen Afridi. His final over saw him dismiss Mohammad Nawaz.
