Apollo Tyres has been confirmed as the new jersey sponsor of the Indian cricket team, replacing online gaming platform Dream11, a senior BCCI official said on Tuesday.
The announcement comes after Dream11 exited following the government’s ban on real money gaming platforms under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025.
Record three-year deal
According to sources, the three-year agreement with Apollo Tyres is valued at ₹579 crore, significantly higher than Dream11’s previous ₹358 crore deal.
The sponsorship covers 121 bilateral games and 21 ICC fixtures, making it one of the most lucrative partnerships in Indian cricket.
Team playing Asia Cup without sponsor
The Indian team is currently featuring in the Asia Cup in Dubai without a title sponsor, as the deal was finalized only this week.
“The deal has been signed with Apollo Tyres. We will announce it soon,” a senior BCCI official confirmed.
Restrictions on bidders
The BCCI had earlier barred companies linked with real money gaming, cryptocurrency, tobacco, and alcohol from bidding for the lead sponsor rights.
Apollo Tyres, a multinational based in Gurugram, has manufacturing units in India and Europe and has previously been associated with major sporting events globally.
