Hyderabad : Hyderabad’s Hanshi Shaswat Kumar has earned global recognition after receiving the prestigious World Martial Arts Pioneer Award in Germany. He was also inducted into the International Hall of Fame for the tenth time—an honour few martial artists achieve.
The award was presented by Prof. Soke Hanshi Dr. Thanh Winter-Luong, president of the Kabudo Karate Federation, recognising Kumar’s unique contribution to martial arts education and his development of the Senkoukai Karate system—India’s first independent karate style recognised by Japanese authorities.
Shaswat Kumar’s achievements include:
Ten-time International Hall of Fame inductee in countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Iran, the U.S., and Germany.
Developer of Senkoukai Karate, which combines Shotokan, Kyokushin, and practical self-defence.
World record holder for 112 backfist punches in 10 seconds.
Holder of the 10th Dan Black Belt from the All Japan Martial Arts Organization.
First Indian to complete the 100-Man Kumite, fighting 108 opponents in a row.
Through his work, Kumar continues to inspire and train thousands, promoting fitness, self-defence, and youth empowerment in India and beyond.
