Tottenham Hotspur Women may have secured their best-ever Women’s Super League finish, but manager Martin Ho insists the club’s ambitions are only growing bigger.
Spurs currently sit fifth in the WSL with one game remaining and have already recorded a club-record points tally during an impressive turnaround season.
Remarkable Turnaround Under Ho
Tottenham entered the season under pressure after finishing near the bottom of the table last year.
But Ho’s arrival from Norwegian side SK Brann Women transformed the squad almost immediately with aggressive pressing, better organisation and smarter recruitment.
Spurs won four of their opening five matches and also produced impressive results against major clubs including Arsenal Women and Manchester United Women.
Avoiding The ‘One-Season Wonder’ Trap
Several WSL clubs have struggled to maintain momentum after breakthrough seasons, something Ho wants Tottenham to avoid.
He believes Spurs must continue investing in squad depth, mentality and infrastructure to establish themselves among Europe’s elite women’s clubs.
Summer Recruitment Already Underway
Ho revealed Tottenham have already completed much of their summer transfer business as they prepare for next season.
The club wants to add more experience, improve defensive stability and create greater competition across the squad.
Bigger Ambitions For The Future
Despite the progress, Ho stressed that finishing fifth is only the beginning of Tottenham’s long-term project.
The manager says the club wants to become one of the strongest women’s football teams not only in England, but across Europe.
Positive Signs For Spurs
Tottenham’s improved performances, stronger identity and growing squad depth have given supporters fresh optimism heading into the new campaign.
The challenge now will be maintaining consistency and bridging the gap to the WSL’s traditional top four.
