Wigan Warriors booked their place in the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup final after a commanding 52-0 victory over York Valkyrie at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

The defending champions delivered another ruthless attacking display, scoring nine tries to move into a second straight Wembley final.

Rowe shines in attacking masterclass

Half-back Isabel Rowe starred with a 20-point haul, scoring a try and converting eight of her nine attempts as Wigan dominated throughout.

Ellise Derbyshire, Mary Coleman and Anna Davies each crossed twice, while Ruby Hunter and Grace Foubister also got on the scoresheet.

Wigan continue remarkable dominance

Coached by Denis Betts, Wigan were too strong in every department against the only side to beat them during their treble-winning 2025 campaign.

The Warriors had already averaged 88 points per game in the earlier rounds of the competition and carried that attacking form into the semi-final, overwhelming York with their pace, power and intensity.

Wigan will now head to Wembley looking to retain the trophy and continue their remarkable run of dominance in the women’s game.
