NFL Week 11 Wrap: New Frontiers, Major Injuries & Rising Stars

Football (Not Fútbol) Lands in Spain

The NFL broke new ground on Sunday with its first-ever regular-season game in Spain, as the Miami Dolphins edged the Washington Commanders 16-13 in an overtime thriller at Real Madrid’s iconic Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

In a fittingly ironic twist for a soccer-loving nation, the game relied heavily on kicking. Both teams combined for five field goals and just two touchdowns. Ultimately, a 29-yard Riley Patterson kick in OT sealed the victory for Miami.

Aaron Rodgers Injured as Steelers Dominate Bengals

The Pittsburgh Steelers strengthened their AFC North lead with a commanding 34-12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals—yet the triumph was soured by an injury to quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers exited at halftime after falling awkwardly on his left wrist. Early reports suggest a possible fracture. In his absence, the Steelers leaned on their defense, scoring twice and cruising behind backup Mason Rudolph.

Tensions boiled over late in the game as Ja’Marr Chase and Jalen Ramsey clashed, culminating in Ramsey’s ejection for throwing a punch. Video later appeared to show Chase spitting—leading to a one-game suspension by the NFL.

Josh Allen’s Six-TD Explosion Lifts Bills Past Bucs

In one of the week’s most explosive matchups, the Buffalo Bills outlasted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 44-32 in a game featuring nine lead changes.

Josh Allen delivered an MVP-caliber show, scoring six total touchdowns—three passing and three rushing—as Buffalo fights to keep pace with the surprising AFC East–leading Patriots.

Broncos Shock Chiefs with Late-Game Heroics

The Denver Broncos tightened their grip on the AFC West by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 22-19, thanks to five field goals from Wil Lutz, including the game-winner as time expired.

The loss drops Kansas City to 5-5, placing the perennial contenders in real danger of missing the postseason. Meanwhile, Denver remains unbeaten at home and now leads the division by two games.

Shedeur Sanders Makes NFL Debut in Browns’ Loss

The Baltimore Ravens, rejuvenated by Lamar Jackson’s return, extended their winning streak to four with a comeback victory over the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland rookie Shedeur Sanders made his NFL debut after Dillon Gabriel exited with a concussion. The young QB struggled, completing just 4-of-16 passes with one interception.

Baltimore sealed the win with a brilliant trick play: tight end Mark Andrews lined up under center on 4th-and-1, faked the “tush push,” and sprinted 35 yards for the game-deciding touchdown.

Seahawks Stumble as Darnold Throws 4 INTs

The Los Angeles Rams moved atop the NFC West with a 21-19 win over Seattle, fueled by Sam Darnold’s four costly interceptions. Rams safety Kamren Kinchens grabbed two of them, helping LA improve to 8-2.

Eagles Grind Out a Defensive Win Over Lions

In a much-hyped evening showdown, the Philadelphia Eagles leaned on their dominant defense to edge the Detroit Lions 16-9.

The victory marks Philly’s second straight game holding a playoff-caliber opponent under 10 points. The Lions’ loss allowed the Chicago Bears—7-3 despite a negative point differential—to claim first place in the NFC North.
