Bhubaneswar: Indian motorsport trailblazer Aishwarya Pissay is set to become the first Asian and Indian woman to compete in the prestigious Rallye du Maroc, scheduled from October 10–17, 2025.
This marks another significant milestone in her career, following her historic victory at the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal 2025, where she became the first woman from Asia and India to win her class in the FIM World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC).
The 2025 Rallye du Maroc features a challenging 2,299 km route between Fez and Erfoud, including 1,478 km of competitive special stages. Aishwarya is competing in the W2RC Rally2 – Women’s category, aiming to further her mission of redefining boundaries for women in motorsport and paving the way toward the Dakar Rally 2027.
Known for its mix of dunes, rocky terrain, and navigation challenges through the Moroccan desert, the rally tests endurance, focus, and consistency—qualities Aishwarya has consistently demonstrated throughout her career.
As the final round of the 2025 FIM World Rally-Raid Championship, the Rallye du Maroc serves as a critical event for all competitors. Aishwarya’s participation not only showcases her exceptional skills but also highlights her role in inspiring more women to pursue motorsports.
