Texas: Italy’s Marco Bezzecchi continued his blistering start to the season with a commanding victory at the United States Grand Prix, making it three wins from three races in the 2026 MotoGP campaign.
Riding for Aprilia, Bezzecchi seized the lead on the opening lap at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin and never looked back, controlling the race from start to finish. The 27-year-old had already triumphed in Thailand and Brazil, and his latest success extended his winning streak to five races dating back to the closing rounds of last season.
Bezzecchi also etched his name into the record books, setting a new MotoGP benchmark for consecutive laps led. His tally reached 121 laps, surpassing the previous record of 103 set by Jorge Lorenzo in 2015.
“I’m happy, very happy,” Bezzecchi said after the race. “Yesterday I made a mistake in the sprint, so it was important to respond with a strong performance today.”
Jorge Martin, Bezzecchi’s team-mate and sprint race winner, finished second, while rising star Pedro Acosta secured third place. Defending champion Marc Marquez had to settle for fifth after struggling to match the front-running pace.
The victory leaves Bezzecchi leading the MotoGP standings with 81 points, holding a narrow four-point advantage over Martin.
The championship now heads to Jerez, Spain, for the next round from April 24-26, where Bezzecchi will aim to maintain his perfect start and tighten his grip on the early title race.
