Dua Lipa is not expected to perform at the proposed heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury later this year.
The long-awaited all-British bout, targeted for the end of 2026, has generated huge buzz, but the global pop star has declined an approach to be part of the event’s entertainment line-up.
Offer declined amid speculation
The possibility of her involvement surfaced after Turki Al-Sheikh suggested the fight could depend on securing a major performance. While it is unclear if the remark was serious, organisers did make contact before Lipa opted out.
Venue and fight timeline
A venue for the fight is yet to be finalised, though Wembley Stadium in October is understood to be the preferred choice.
Before any showdown with Fury, Joshua must first face Kristian Prenga in July, while Fury could take another bout following his recent comeback. Promoter Frank Warren has warned that a defeat for Joshua could jeopardise the blockbuster clash.
Music and boxing spectacle
Music performances have become a regular feature at major boxing events, with stars like Eminem, Liam Gallagher and 50 Cent previously involved in high-profile fights.
Even without Dua Lipa, organisers are expected to include entertainment elements, as both fighters prepare for what could be one of the biggest bouts in modern boxing history.
