The world No.37 defeated compatriot and world No.2 Wang Zhiyi in a thrilling final, winning 21–19, 22–20 to capture the biggest title of her career on the BWF World Tour. The victory marked Han’s first Super 300 crown and a breakthrough moment for the young Chinese shuttler.
In the men’s singles final, France’s Christo Popov defeated his older brother Toma Junior Popov 21–16, 21–15 in a rare all-French showdown to claim the title.
China dominated the doubles competitions. Chen Boyang and Liu Yi rallied from a game down to beat France’s Julien Maio and William Villeger 17–21, 21–15, 21–12 in the men’s doubles final.
In women’s doubles, Bao Lijing and Luo Xumin defeated compatriots Li Yijing and Wang Yiduo 21–16, 21–16 to lift the title.
The mixed doubles crown went to China’s Cheng Xing and Zhang Chi, who beat Denmark’s Mads Vestergaard and Christine Busch 21–12, 21–17 in the final.
Held from 24 February to 1 March at the Westenergie Sporthalle in Mülheim, the tournament was a Super 300 event with a prize pool of $250,000, making it one of the key early stops on the 2026 World Tour calendar.
China finished the week as the most successful nation with four titles, while Popov’s victory provided one of the most memorable moments with a historic sibling final.
