TOKYO: United World Wrestling (UWW) has released a special “Best of World and Olympic Champion Susaki” playlist, showcasing the most iconic matches from the legendary career of Japan’s Yui Susaki .
The playlist highlights Susaki’s rise from a prodigious junior wrestler — where she won three consecutive U17 World Championship titles (2014–2016) — to becoming one of the most feared competitors on the senior stage. Known for her relentless pace, airtight defense, and clinical scoring, Susaki built a reputation for dominating opponents with minimal points conceded.
Among the featured bouts are her commanding world-level victories, including matches where she secured lopsided technical wins, controlling the mat with speed, counter-attacks, and tactical intelligence. Her ability to dictate tempo and dismantle elite opponents has made her a benchmark in women’s wrestling.
Reflecting on her approach, Susaki has previously emphasized discipline and preparation, saying that “winning comes from trusting training and staying mentally sharp”
The UWW playlist not only revisits her best match performances and decisive wins but also serves as a tribute to an athlete who continues to redefine excellence in international wrestling.
