India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya added another golden chapter to his illustrious career by claiming his 100th wicket in T20 Internationals during the third T20I against South Africa at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.
Pandya reached the landmark by dismissing South African batter Tristan Stubbs, a moment that also made him the first Indian cricketer to complete the rare double of 1,000 runs and 100 wickets in T20 internationals.
With this achievement, Pandya also became the third Indian bowler to take 100 wickets in T20Is, joining an elite club featuring Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh. The milestone further underlined his value as a genuine all-rounder in India’s shortest-format setup.
The breakthrough came at a crucial stage of the South African innings, drawing loud cheers from the packed stands as Pandya celebrated a significant personal and national record. Known for delivering under pressure, the Baroda all-rounder has consistently contributed with both bat and ball across conditions.
With over 1,000 T20I runs to his name and now 100 wickets achieved through sharp seam bowling and smart variations, Hardik Pandya continues to stand out as one of India’s most impactful white-ball cricketers. His milestone performance adds further momentum to India’s campaign in the ongoing series against South Africa and ahead of major international tournaments.
