The sale of tickets for the much-anticipated T20 international match between India and South Africa at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack will commence on December 1. The high-voltage encounter is scheduled to begin at 7 pm on December 9, 2025. Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) President Pankaj Lochan Mohanty and Secretary Sanjay Behera met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at his residence on Sunday evening and formally handed over the match tickets, which the Chief Minister purchased online.
OCA informed that a total of 23,000 tickets will be made available to the public through affiliated units, online booking and box office counters. However, only about 2,000 tickets will be released online starting December 1 through District by Zomato, with the remainder to be sold offline. Ticket prices range from ₹700 to ₹20,000 depending on category, including gallery, pavilion and corporate enclosures. Online tickets will be issued for the New Pavilion, Special Enclosure, AC Box and Galleries 2, 4 and 7, and can be redeemed at Cambridge School on December 8 and 9.
Offline sales for OCA-affiliated units will take place on December 3 and 4 at the OCA Conference Hall via SBI, while public box office sales at Barabati Stadium will begin on December 5. Each buyer will be permitted to purchase a maximum of two tickets on presenting a valid ID. To ensure safety and smooth conduct, OCA announced that the match will be insured for approximately ₹150 crore, covering event cancellation, property damage, public liability and group accidental policy.
In preparation for the event, OCA and the Cuttack District Administration have arranged extensive public facilities including fire safety deployment, emergency medical support through KIMS Hospital and SCB Medical College, adequate drinking water supply and food stalls at reasonable prices. Three fan parks will be set up at Upper and Lower Bali Jatra Grounds and Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. A dedicated bus bay is being established at Bali Jatra Ground to facilitate crowd movement, along with integrated help desks at five locations around the stadium. Galleries 6 and 7 will be opened for spectators to watch the practice sessions on December 8, with additional galleries to be opened if required depending on turnout.
Both the Indian and South African teams are scheduled to arrive in Cuttack on December 7 between 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm and will train the following day, with India practicing between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm and South Africa from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm. The stadium gates will open three hours before the start of the match to allow orderly entry.
