Yamuna Sports Complex, New Delhi : The inaugural Archery Premier League kicks off this October in New Delhi, promising an electrifying 11-day contest under the floodlights.
India’s top recurve and compound archers, together with international stars, will compete in this franchise-format tournament designed to elevate archery’s profile nationally.

Deepika Kumari (Recurve, World No. 3), Dhiraj Bommadevara (Recurve, World No. 14), Tarundeep Rai, Atanu Das, Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur (Women’s Recurve).
Jyothi Surekha Vennam (Compound, World No. 3), Rishabh Yadav, Abhishek Verma, Ojas Pravin Deotale, Prathamesh Bhalchandra Fuge, Priyansh, Parneet Kaur (Compound).
Tournament Format:
Six franchise teams will battle over 11 days with recurve archers shooting at 70 meters and compound archers at 50 meters. Matches are designed for high tension and fast-paced competition to simulate intense pressure conditions like the Olympics.
This league represents a bold leap forward for Indian archery, bringing global exposure and heightened competitiveness while nurturing homegrown talent. Backed by the Archery Association of India, World Archery, and India’s Sports Ministry, it aims to boost interest and standards in the sport.
