PSG win Champions League for first time with record 5-0 final hammering of Inter

Paris Saint-Germain have finally claimed their first-ever Champions League title, delivering a stunning performance to thrash Inter Milan 5-0 in what will go down as one of the most one-sided finals in the tournament’s history. Under the guidance of Luis Enrique, PSG’s young and vibrant squad dominated from start to finish, with 18-year-old Désiré Doué stealing the spotlight by scoring twice.
Achraf Hakimi, facing his former team, opened the scoring early, and Doué doubled the lead in the 20th minute with a deflected effort. The teenager added his second just after the hour mark, effectively putting the game to bed. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia added a fourth, and substitute Senny Mayulu wrapped up the historic win with a late fifth.
Inter never managed to keep up, as PSG cruised to the biggest winning margin in a European Cup or Champions League final — a record-breaking result in the competition’s 70-year history.
This landmark victory marks the culmination of years of heavy investment by PSG’s Qatari owners. It also comes five years after their only previous final appearance, where they fell short against Bayern Munich.
Having already secured the French league and cup double, PSG now stand as just the second French club ever — after Marseille — to win Europe’s most prestigious football trophy.
