Delhi Snooker Championship Gets New Format

The Delhi Billiards & Snooker Association (DBSA) has introduced a new format for the Delhi State 15-Red Snooker Championship, with the tournament set to be divided into four zones from this season.

The championship will be held in memory of Raja Randhir Singh, former President of the Olympic Council of Asia and ex-Secretary General of the Indian Olympic Association, who passed away recently.

Delhi Snooker Championship Divided Into Four Zones

The Delhi State Snooker Championship will be played across four zones, with the top four players from each zone earning a place in the 16-player main draw.

The main draw will determine the Delhi State champion.

The South Zone competition will be held from September 15 to 18, followed by the West Zone from September 18 to 20.

The East Zone matches will take place from October 6 to 11, while the North Zone competition is scheduled from October 14 to 18.

Delhi Snooker Championship Offers Rs 3 Lakh Prize

The Delhi State 15-Red Snooker Championship will offer total prize money of Rs 3 lakh.

The main event will be staged at the Megapool Snooker Academy in Dwarka.

DBSA Secretary Ravi Tandon confirmed the tournament details as the association prepares to implement the new format this season.
