The second edition of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) will see international participation for the first time, with 80 youth from the Know India Programme and 20 delegates from BIMSTEC nations joining thousands of young Indians in the nationwide initiative.
Mandaviya calls VBYLD youth-led democracy
Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya announced the 2026 edition, describing VBYLD as “a true example of youth-led democracy, turning vision into voice and voice into impact.” He said the dialogue allows young people to directly present ideas to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
New tracks introduced
The upcoming edition will feature two new verticals—Design for Bharat, a national design challenge, and Tech for Viksit Bharat, a hackathon for social causes—along with cultural events and essay competitions. State-level contests will lead to the national finale in New Delhi from January 10–12, 2026.
Grand finale in Delhi
About 3,000 participants are expected at the finale, including 1,500 from the Viksit Bharat Challenge, 1,000 from the Cultural and Design Track, 100 international delegates, and 400 special attendees. Registrations for the quiz round, the first stage of the dialogue, are open on the MY Bharat portal until October 15, 2025.
