India’s Shubhankar Sharma missed the cut on his return to competitive golf after a lengthy break, while Germany’s Thomas Rosenmueller produced the round of the day to move into contention at the BMW International Open.
Sharma, playing his first event after an extended absence, struggled to find rhythm and signed for consecutive rounds of 73 to finish outside the cut line.
Rosenmueller climbs into contention
Rosenmueller delivered a brilliant seven-under 65 on Saturday, the lowest score of the day, to surge up the leaderboard.
The German now sits tied for fourth at 11-under par after rounds of 69, 71 and 65, leaving him just two shots behind the leaders heading into the final round.
Wiesberger and Hollick share the lead
Austria’s Bernd Wiesberger and England’s Michael Hollick are tied at the top of the leaderboard on 13-under par.
Wiesberger has carded rounds of 68, 68 and 67, while Hollick followed opening rounds of 66 and 68 with a third-round 69 to remain alongside the Austrian in the lead.
