Paris Saint-Germain have done it again — and in familiar style. The Paris giants wrapped up their fifth consecutive Ligue 1 title after a composed 2–0 victory over second-placed Lens, extending their domestic reign in French football.
The win, achieved away from home, carried both pressure and purpose. Lens pushed hard, especially in the opening stages, but PSG’s experience and control eventually made the difference.
The breakthrough came in the 29th minute when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia finished a slick attacking move, calmly slotting home after a sharp assist from Ousmane Dembélé. The goal settled PSG’s nerves and shifted the momentum firmly in their favour.
Lens tried to respond, but PSG’s defence stood tall throughout the night, cutting out chances and controlling transitions with discipline.
In stoppage time, the result was sealed by teenage forward Ibrahim Mbaye, who added a second goal to put the result beyond doubt and spark celebrations among the travelling supporters.
With this win, PSG not only secured another league crown but also reinforced their status as the most dominant force in modern French football. It is yet another milestone in a period of near-total domestic control, with the club continuing to set the standard in Ligue 1.
While celebrations will follow in Paris, PSG’s season is far from over — their focus will soon shift to bigger European ambitions still on the horizon.
