Former India cricketer and Gujarat Titans assistant coach Parthiv Patel has credited the franchise’s structured practice methods and strong team culture for their successful run in the IPL 2026 season. Patel said the players’ commitment during training sessions has played a major role in helping Gujarat remain among the top-performing teams this year.
Speaking after Gujarat Titans’ latest win, Parthiv highlighted how the franchise focuses on quality over quantity during training. He explained that players are encouraged to practice with clear match-specific objectives rather than spending long hours in routine sessions.
According to Patel, Gujarat’s coaching setup works extensively on scenario-based preparation, ensuring players understand their individual roles before stepping onto the field. He added that this clarity has helped the squad perform consistently under pressure situations throughout the season.
GT’s balanced squad has been one of the biggest reasons behind their strong IPL campaign. The batting unit, led by skipper Shubman Gill, has delivered consistently, while the bowling attack has maintained discipline during crucial middle and death overs.
Patel also praised the franchise management for creating a calm dressing-room atmosphere despite the intense pressure of the tournament. He said the coaching staff ensures players remain mentally relaxed while staying focused on their responsibilities.
Gujarat Titans are currently among the top contenders for the IPL 2026 playoffs and will look to continue their momentum in the remaining league-stage matches.
