The spotlight returns to the heavyweight division as Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov headlines a major Tottenham Hotspur Stadium fight this weekend. The bout marks the Tyson Fury comeback fight after his brief break from the sport, with the former champion looking to prove he still belongs at the top level. As Fury return to boxing gathers attention, several figures from the sport have shared their heavyweight boxing predictions for the highly anticipated contest.

Heavyweight boxing predictions favour Tyson Fury comeback fight

Most of the early Fury v Makhmudov predictions suggest the British fighter will control the contest if he performs close to his best level. Former champion Lennox Lewis prediction believes Fury’s movement, speed and combinations should make the difference over the course of the fight.

David Haye boxing analysis also backed the British fighter, although he warned that avoiding heavy punches will be key as Fury continues his return to boxing. Fabio Wardley WBO champion predicted a points victory, suggesting Fury’s experience could help him manage the fight even if it becomes competitive.

Fury return to boxing could shape heavyweight future

The Tyson Fury comeback fight could also influence the direction of the division in the coming months. After the Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury defeats that led to his retirement, the former champion now hopes to rebuild momentum.

Observers believe a strong performance could revive talk of an Anthony Joshua potential fight, a matchup fans have long wanted to see. Others point out that Fury’s experience and tactical ability still give him an advantage in many matchups.

Further Fury v Makhmudov predictions from Joe Gallagher boxing trainer and Shane McGuigan boxing trainer highlighted stylistic factors that could benefit the British fighter. Dillian Whyte heavyweight also suggested that if Fury finds his rhythm early, the contest could eventually swing heavily in his favour.

With the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium fight approaching, the majority of heavyweight boxing predictions continue to favour the Tyson Fury comeback fight ending in victory as Fury return to boxing unfolds in front of a packed London crowd.
